Guide · STP → STL
STP to STL, in your browser.
.stp and .step are the same ISO 10303 format with two file extensions. Both are accepted — drop yours and get a binary STL mesh, ready for any slicer or 3D-printing service.
.stp vs .step — what's the difference?
Nothing. Both extensions point to the same STEP (ISO 10303) CAD interchange file. Older Windows tools used the 3-letter .stp extension; modern CAD packages prefer .step. Our converter accepts both.
Why STL?
STL is the universal triangle-mesh format every slicer (Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer) and 3D-printing service expects. Converting STP → STL is the standard step between CAD and print.
